Photographing the New Jersey Pine Barrens
An in-person presentation with landscape photographer Richard Lewis
The Pine Barrens can be quiet, mysterious, luminous, and surprisingly dramatic. Join Richard Lewis for a photographic journey through one of New Jersey's most distinctive landscapes, where weather, atmosphere, water, forest, and changing light can transform familiar places into extraordinary scenes.
About the Presentation
Richard will share images from his work in the New Jersey Pine Barrens and discuss the choices behind them: finding strong locations, recognizing promising conditions, working with fog and changing light, and building compositions that capture the character and mood of the landscape. The program is designed to be both inspiring and practical for photographers who want to create more expressive landscape images close to home.
